Starting to Feel the Heat?

The cold season is almost over. Although there is still some remnants of cold rain here and there, one could really feel the heat starting to rise. My kids are jumping at this opportunity to pester me to take their inflatable swimming pool (currently deflated and squeezed inside a box) from storage for a chance to soak in water the whole day. Well, with summer just a few weeks away, I might as well oblige.

The first one I bought for them was not inflatable and I found out too late that my son could barely fit inside if he stretched himself out. Well, they really didn't mind at all. The only problem was I made the mistake of laying the pool directly on concrete, barely sweeping small debris underneath. Stone particles eventually made their marks on the pool's plastic surface. After a few days of use leaks started to appear, which eventually grew to rips with water gushing out.

When I finally bought a really big inflatable pool I made sure that no rips nor tears will occur this time. I secured the base with plywood then overlayed it with linoleum. I made sure no part of the pool touches concrete or anything that could cause any damage to the pool. Well, it worked and my kids couldn't be any happier. I couldn't be any happier.

Unless they ask for a full-sized swimming pool next time!

Setting New Boundaries for Staycation

The Christmas rush is once again taking up its toll. Our city’s traffic system is heading towards another grinding halt as shoppers and marketers converge on this market central in the south. We were planning on going on a road trip for the holidays, but with this traffic condition, we would rather stay home and spend our vacation here.

More people nowadays are choosing this path, which homeowners call Staycation, and spend a relaxing day with their families right in the comforts of their own homes. If you’re in the Arizona area, you can transform your home into a world class resort for the cost of a vacation. You can have awesome looking pools designed and built by Shasta pools right in your own backyard. Vacations are recurring expenses that could really drain your budget, which you can only enjoy once or twice a year. But having your own resort right in the comforts of your own home, you can enjoy a Staycation all year round!

If you have a existing dull looking pool, you can contact Shasta pools and take advantage of their yearend offerings and have that pool converted into your very own Staycation paradise. On top of that, you can have energy-efficient “green” pumps and other pool equipment, which can save you from 30 to 90 percent in electrical bills. You would not get that from a vacation.
