Everything is Bigger in Texas

(just a few laughs for you to ease our minds off the economic crisis)

There was a blind man on his way to Texas. He is on the airplane, and he is in First Class. He goes to his seat, and feels them, they are huge. He asks the stewardess "Aren't these seats kinda' big?" She replies "Oh, everything's bigger in Texas."

Then he gets to Texas, and he goes to his room. He walks, and walks and didn't hit the wall for a few minutes, and he was walking in a straight line. He asks the Bellboy "Isn't this room kinda' big?" The Bellboy replies "Yes, everything's bigger in Texas."

Then he gets thirsty after a little while, and goes down to the bar, and orders a little glass of beer. the Bartender gives him a gallon big glass. The blind man feels it, and says "I said a SMALL glass." The Bartender says "Everything's bigger in Texas."

So after the blind man finishes the big Texas beer, he asks "Where's the restrooms?" The Bartender says "The third door on the right."

The blind man is walking, feeling the doors, and he trips. He goes to the 4TH door instead of the 3rd. the 4th door goes right out to the pool.

The blind man opens the door, and falls in, thinking it was the restroom. He falls, looks frantic, waves his arms, and yells "Don't flush! Don't flush!"

Starting to Feel the Heat?

The cold season is almost over. Although there is still some remnants of cold rain here and there, one could really feel the heat starting to rise. My kids are jumping at this opportunity to pester me to take their inflatable swimming pool (currently deflated and squeezed inside a box) from storage for a chance to soak in water the whole day. Well, with summer just a few weeks away, I might as well oblige.

The first one I bought for them was not inflatable and I found out too late that my son could barely fit inside if he stretched himself out. Well, they really didn't mind at all. The only problem was I made the mistake of laying the pool directly on concrete, barely sweeping small debris underneath. Stone particles eventually made their marks on the pool's plastic surface. After a few days of use leaks started to appear, which eventually grew to rips with water gushing out.

When I finally bought a really big inflatable pool I made sure that no rips nor tears will occur this time. I secured the base with plywood then overlayed it with linoleum. I made sure no part of the pool touches concrete or anything that could cause any damage to the pool. Well, it worked and my kids couldn't be any happier. I couldn't be any happier.

Unless they ask for a full-sized swimming pool next time!
